The Fresno Truck Center Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program

Fifty years ago, a fraction of children diagnosed with cancer lived to see their next birthday. Today, kids with cancer have a remarkable 85 percent survival rate. As childhood cancer survivors grow into adulthood, we are learning more about the potential physical, emotional and other long-term side effects of their cancer treatments.

The Fresno Truck Center, a local, multigenerational business owned by the Howard family, has committed to support childhood cancer survivors cared for at Valley Children's on behalf of their customers. In honor of this generous support, the program has adopted a new name: The Fresno Truck Center Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program. We are humbled by this gift and know this transformational investment will help ensure the future of the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program for generations to come.
