Board certified in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Jolie Ramesar came to Valley Children’s in 2018.

Dr. Ramesar is certified in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and in neonatal resuscitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago and the Pediatric Society of Trinidad and Tobago. She has been published in peer reviewed journals including the West Indian Medical Journal and the Caribbean Medical Journal.

Dr. Ramesar studied medicine and surgery at University of the West Indies. She interned in a variety of departments within the North Central Regional Health Authority in Trinidad. Dr. Ramesar went on to complete her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the department of pediatrics, University of Florida College of Medicine.
