Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Jamie Clute joined Valley Children’s as a pediatric hospitalist in July 2017.

Dr. Clute comes to Valley Children’s with a wealth of experience gained through his work in pediatric hospitals across the country, including Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children’s in Honolulu, Nemour’s Children’s Hospital in Orlando and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida.

Dr. Clute is dedicated to improving care for pediatric patients; over the course of his career he has been a member and chair of several healthcare improvement committees, including palliative care planning, quality and patient safety and electronic medical record strategic planning. While at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Dr. Clute also served as the leader of the Pediatric Hospitalist Journal Club and as the director of medical education curriculum.  He is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

After receiving his medical degree from the Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, Dr. Clute completed a pediatric residency at Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo, where he served a year as Pediatric Chief Resident.

Dr. Clute brings an extensive background in teaching, having held assistant and affiliate professorships at several universities.
