Why did you choose Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program?
I grew up in the Central Valley and returning here for residency was very important to me. Everyone who works at the hospital is committed to providing the best healthcare to the children of the Central Valley. I was also impressed by the commitment to excellence in teaching and advocacy.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, and pets (I have four dogs and a cat!) as well as cooking. I also love to go hiking and camping.

Advocacy and Research Interests and Accomplishments:
In medical school, I had the opportunity to work with agricultural and rural workers in the Central Valley on healthcare education and I loved it! I also feel passionately about inclusion in healthcare, and for my dual Masters degree in Public Health final project I focused on educating rural pediatricians on the importance of chosen name and pronoun use and its effect on future healthcare outcomes for pediatric populations.

Care Philosophy: I believe that all children, despite their background, are deserving of quality healthcare. I also believe that in healthcare trust from our patients is earned, and we as providers must approach all patients with respect while empowering them to be their healthiest selves.
